Applying a Function of Time
It is known that there are two types of spray modes continuous and (none continuous). For a continuous spray the inflow boundary condition is straight forward. We are interested for the none continuous. The equation used can be the following:
You will need to specify the frequency, the maximum spray velocity, the period of the spray process. once these values are determined you can then start defining the parameters in ANSYS CFX.

Applying Varying droplet Diamter
During a continuous spray modelling case the mean droplet diameter stays constant. While for a pulsed spray process the mean diameter changes with time. For some cases the droplet diameter becomes smaller with increase of spray speed.
