Family Members who contributed to My Personality
Mohamad Nehlawi Al Hassani
My grand grand father Shaik Mohamad Ismail Nehlawi Al Hassani (Abo Bahaa ) (الشيخ محمد بن إسماعيل النحلاوي الحسني ) he lived from 1900 to 2001. He is the father of my grand mother from my fathers side. He had a shop whereby he sold goods, he used to be the Imam of the Sabaheah mosque in Damascus. I always feel and sense his deep prayers for the protection of his future grand children to be protected by Allah and for them to be good people, and for them to have a pure good role in society. When I really got to know him he was already old in age, used to see during family visits during Eid. He used to be quiet and didn't talk that much. When he passed away it was the period in my life where I started to take responsibility and it was a lesson for me of what path I should follow in life. |
Ahmed Fares Al Makky
My grand father Ahmed Fares Al Makky (أحمد فارس المكي) who I have his name god bless his soul. He was the one who raised my father who brought me up and took good care of me and made me to whom I am. He used to make me happy and play with me when I was young and through my teenage years he used to guide me to do the good things in life. How much he lived a very modest life but he brought up a very nice family that I am proud to be part off. He passed away in 2004. I must admit the age difference is always a barrier between the new and old generation. That is some thing I understand more today than before. I know that I will never be like him but maybe one day I will make him proud of me that I am his grandson. |
Itidal Shaar
My grandmother Itidal Shaar (إعتدال الشعار) who passed away on the 15 February 2015. She liked people and always tried to help and support them in every minute of here life. I learnt from her the need to give and how to be generous. Likewise she showed me the importance of close and extended family. Her vision and regular advice for me that I should focus my efforts and skills on the business side of life. That is by starting making money and not to allocate my full time to studies, this is something I see now of importance. The reason for that academics these days have difficulty in finding jobs in the higher education sector. They get assigned many tasks, projects and responsibilities that at some instances of time peak the brain capacity to focus and work. Part of grownups attitude towards a teenager is that they always want him to grow up very quickly and take responsibility. She always wanted to see me at a position of management and decision making. The thing is that we as humans always take time to mature hence what elders see we do not see. |
Hanadi Dalbani
During the period spanning from 2006 till 2010, my aunt Hanadi Dalbani (هنادي دلباني) supported me through the many hardships of life sadly she passed away 22 September 2015. She listened to me a lot through out the many hardships and challenges I had to go through during my studies. She always insisted on me to forgive and move on in my life. She used to be such a joyful person full of laughter caring and a very good listener. What I very much liked about her is her confidence in what I was doing and what was I capable of. Having some one in your life that believes in your skills releases an internal energy and drive to work more. |
Mahmoud Tabbakh
During the period spanning from 1979 till 2018 uncle Mahmoud Tabbakh (محمود طباخ), he is the husband of my aunt Huda Al Makky, he has been of support throughout my life, Sadly I learnt he passed away in the early morning on the 23rd May 2018. He used to always ask about me and cared for me and always insisted that I settle down and get married he always saw me as part of his loved family. That is something that I will never forget and will surely follow in his steps. He had exceptional management skills it was something he gained throughout his extensive life activities in the textile industrial sector. During the summer of 2005 I spent a training internship at his factory, during the training period I was allocated my own working office in the main administrative building and gained direct access to all available machines and their technical manuals. Furthermore all my technical questions where answered by the factory technical assistants. Later on I was taken on tour by him and other family members to other neighboring textile factories located in the industrial sector of Aleppo city. I have learnt from him the importance of family hierarchy ,generosity ,organization , love, care, respect, work ethics and principles within the management structure of an industrial business. His friend Badr Aldin Alhusni (بدر الدين الحصني) was the guarantee reference person for the suitability of my dad for his studies scholarship, hence he contributed to supporting my family studies which later also contributed to my life. |
