Not Recommended Studentship Emails

Dear Sir

I have submitted my thesis just a few weeks ago for my master’s  degree at X University, X ,UK ,which was in the field of combustion  and I have started looking for my PhD field which I want to be  involved in.
I have a very strong back ground in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics because my BSc was in Thermal Engineering from X University these are some of the modules we were taught at the university:

Fluid mechanics 1
Fluid mechanics 2
Thermodynamics 1
Thermodynamics 2
Gas dynamics
Steam turbines
Gas turbines
Steam boilers
Refrigeration
Heat transfer
Hydraulics
Power Plants
Combustion engines 1
Combustion engines 2
Design of combustion engines
Heating and air conditioning

During the Masters course I got to the chance in having a module  which was involved in the combustion field and later I had my  dissertation project in combustion.
Here I mention some of the modules we were taught during the  master’s course:

Fuel and energy systems
Thermodynamics and heat transfer1
Thermodynamics and heat transfer 2
Hydro modelling which was also involved in the Navier stokes equations.

I have attached my CV and a copy of my dissertation.
Looking forward for your reply.

What i would like to point out I am a UK citizen.

Best Regards
X

Not Recommended Research Proposals

Research Proposal

I think because I am applying for the studentship that means you already have a research proposal or a research area in mind.   Studentship title: X/CASE PhD Studentships X ,Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Heat Transfer, Noise and Instrumentation The X Laboratory, Department of Engineering   I can’t really state a problem because usually engineers are given the problems and told to solve them but what I can tell you is which field I am capable of working in.

Working with a research group would be great I am very much interested in working in the computational fluid dynamics field and Mathlab.

I can solve the fluid mechanic and thermal aspect of a problem and at the same time model it using several kinds of software.

Getting involved in lab work is essential for me its some thing which I lack in experience and would like to improve my self in to balance out my theoretical background. I would also be happy to teach and train new PhD researchers.

The fields that I can work in on my self with no assistance:

1-      Fluid mechanics

2-      Thermodynamics

3-      Heat transfer

4-      Gas dynamics

5-      Aerodynamics

The second field:

1-      machine design

2-      Machine vibrations

3-      mechanism analysis

4-      structure mechanics

The third field:

1-      fuel atomization

2-      fuel combustion

I also know other fields of Mechanical engineering which I have not mentioned.

Not a Recommended format when asked about your self

During our masters course we got the chance to work on a group project and due to the fact that there was four of us and each on had a deferent scientific background this had a lot of convincing problems due to each persons thinking and how he sees the problem we split  up the work I was the one who conducted the calculation procedure another was involved in the editing part and the other two did the literature review.
