Barry Island Boat Trip 2006

Barry Island trip made on one of Cardiff University research boats. On that day we whre introduced to safety procedures after getting on the boat. It was a rainy winters day we went to Barry Island and back unfortunately I broke my glasses on that day and had to use selotape on the way back we came across a broken down boat. The trip shows the potential of the gates takleing the problem of low and high tide.

During the masters course while I took the hydro-modelling course we were given the opportunity to visit Cardiff Bay.

The following power point presentation presents the idea, a small scale model needs to be tested in a wind tunnel in order to see the efficiency and mass flow rates in addition to the achieved compression ratios it achieves . 
Another requirement is for an on paper calculation of the various variables of importance.
